Specifications, grades, availability listings and any prices or terms discussed on this site are informational. They do not constitute an offer capable of acceptance. A binding obligation arises only from a signed contract stating the goods, quantity, price basis, delivery term, quality basis, shipment period and payment terms.

The technical information

The knowledge centre, origin pages and export guides describe how green coffee is produced, graded, analysed and shipped in East Africa. They are written to be accurate and are reviewed periodically — each page carries its last-reviewed date.

They are general reference material, not advice on your transaction. Specifically:

• Harvest windows, altitudes, grade ladders and cup profiles are typical for the origins concerned. Every parcel is contracted on its own approved sample and specification.
• Where a standard or a regulation is described, the description is of its general shape. Standards change. Obtain the current text from its publisher before relying on it.
• Nothing on this site is legal, customs, insurance, tax or financial advice. The EUDR section in particular describes what data an origin supplier can provide, not what your obligations are.

Availability data

Availability shown on this site is indicative and is not an offer. Coffee availability moves with the harvest, with milling and with prior commitments, so quantities, grades and crop years are confirmed on enquiry rather than treated as standing stock.

The calculator

The container loading calculator performs arithmetic on figures you supply. It does not know your container, your carrier’s limits or the road regulations on your route, and it deliberately refuses to assume a payload figure. Verify every input against the container’s door plate and the applicable limits before contracting a bag count.

Certification

This site displays no certification marks. Descriptions of certification schemes are descriptions of those schemes, not claims about our certification status. Certified lots may be available subject to origin, crop, certification status and current inventory, and the certificates of every operator in the chain are provided for review where certification is contracted.

Accuracy and changes

We correct errors when we find them and when they are reported. Pages are revised as practice and standards change, and the last-reviewed date is updated with them. We do not warrant that every page reflects the position at the moment you read it.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams, data tables and design of this site are ours. You are welcome to read, print and cite them. Republishing substantial portions, or reproducing the diagrams and tables, requires permission — ask, and the answer is usually yes with attribution.
